Tomorrow's New Home
03:01
|
|||
When the snow turns to sleet,
and you can barely feel you're feet, but you're home
If You're fumbling through town,
not a single soul around, but your home
You're dreading the day that you're daddy can't play
but you're strong.
If you feel like falling down,
turn that frown upside down, says you're mum.
Chorus
Let the world swallow you up, lead your travels on foot,
Face down in a rut, move on get up.
Take the fork in the road, you'll never be alone,
Let your heart let go, find tomorrows new home.
Find tomorrow's new home,
Verse 2
Feeling satisfied, you've got your heart and you're pride, that's enough
Have you seen this all before, or are you eager for more, settle a score,
Heading down a track, you've got your life on your back, and that's that,
Your family aren't around, but you know they're so proud, and you've grown.

Stories End
03:37
|
|||
Take it back now, to a place we know felt right
Want a fight now, through the sea it likes to bite,
Keep control how, lose it all the stakes are high,
Give me strength now, say goodnight
Chorus
I see, I feel, going nowhere over again,
I smile, you cry, watching you try to disguise
I know, you don’t, can it ever just be friends.
They know, we won’t, it’s not how our story ends
Are we lost now? Falling through the clouds,
Don’t give up now, do me proud.
Just wake up now, can you help me see the light,
I don’t know how, but we’ve got to make this right.
Please don’t lie now, what we really need is truth
Just in time now, here’s to you.
Chorus
Take it back now, to a place we know felt right
Though were friends now, the stories come to light,
Not the same now, can we keep it out of sight
Give me strength how, say goodbye

Yesterday
02:45
|

What do you feel when you look at me?
Can you remember what I used to be?
It feels like years since I held your hand,
Walking side by side through sinking sand,
Chorus
It’s not you it’s me, I need more time to think, you left me bitter in the dark.
You know you’re killing me, you’re so hard to please, it was over from the start.
It was going nowhere way too fast,
Strange it took so long for me to see the cracks,
Like a game of whispers can you fill in the blanks,
Or are there no answers just a sheltered glance.
Chorus
What do you feel when you look at me?
Can you remember what we used to sing?
This game is over we have come to the end,
If I could ask one thing, would you be my friend?
Chorus

In Your Eyes
01:47
|

Verse
Looking back at memories, you’re the perfect dad for me,
You’d pick me up and throw me out, I’d swim till I couldn’t see,
You never kept me guessing, I was as happy as can be,
I’d wake you up with banging walls, dropping saw’s I was three.
Chorus
The story’s I was dreaming of, were planted like a seed,
You were faultless in my eyes until I turned fourteen.
Then like a switch that flicked, a mouse that clicked,
I knew more than you’d ever seen,
Which is pretty impressive, for a teen.
Verse
You always kept me busy, from Lego to working machines,
I still wake you up with banging doors, coming in at ten to three.
Looking back at memories, you’re the perfect dad for me,
Even though you’re getting old, it will never bother me.
Chorus
